Betty de Keizer

Communicative and purposeful
As the University of Amsterdam’s central coordinator for work on sustainable development Betty represented the University for more than ten years at conferences as well as in various international networks. She has spoken on a number of occasions at meetings and seminars where she shared her knowledge and international experience with others.

An Enthusiastic Networker
Betty’s outgoing and enthusiastic nature has led her to organise regular networking meetings for specific groups of people with specialist knowledge. When someone once asked her why she does this work the answer was immediate: “It’s useful, it’s fun and it’s incredibly inspiring!” .

Initiator and motivator
For more than 18 years before starting her career at the University Betty was a sports teacher for secondary education classes as well as adults. “I like to work with groups of people”, she says, “Young people especially inspire me. They keep you focused and have a completely open mind on the world and things around them.”

Independence and Realism
Since 2006 Betty has worked as a independent consultant with her own company: De Keizer Kennismakelaar. She shares her practical knowledge and experience on sustainable development with companies and individuals so that they can take their next step towards development that is more sustainable in every possible way.
